It Never Rains But It Pours

The idiom "it never rains but it pours" means that when one bad thing happens, other bad things often follow in quick succession. It is used to describe a situation where a person is experiencing a series of unfortunate events or problems that seem to be happening all at once.

For example, imagine a person who has just lost their job. Shortly after, they find out that their car has broken down and needs expensive repairs. Then, they receive a large medical bill for an unexpected illness. In this case, it seems like everything bad is happening at once, and the person might say "it never rains but it pours" to describe their situation.

This idiom can also be used in a more general sense to describe a period of time when a lot of bad things are happening in someone's life. It is important to note that this idiom is not meant to be taken literally, as rain and pouring are used metaphorically to describe a series of negative events.
